🗣Talking Tuesday - Well-Being Week Day 2

28th Jan 2026
As part of our Wellbeing Week, we marked 'Talking Tuesday' by learning about the importance of looking after our mental health🧠, just as we do our physical health. Understanding our thoughts and feelings, and knowing how to care for them, helps us feel happier, calmer and more confident. We explored this by taking part in a circle time session focused on sharing and understanding our emotions.

📚During circle time⭕️, the children enjoyed listening to the story “The Bag of Worries.” This gentle story helped open up important conversations about worries and concerns, and how sharing them can help make us feel lighter and more supported. The children had the opportunity to talk and listen to one another, learning that it’s okay to feel sad, scared or overwhelmed at times. We discussed who we can talk to when we are feeling this way; a trusted adult, a friend, a teacher or someone at home and reinforced the message that there is always someone who will listen and help.

🗣We also played a fun game of Chinese Whispers, which helped the children understand how messages can change if they are not shared clearly. This led to a great discussion about the importance of speaking up, being honest about our feelings, and making sure we listen carefully to others.

🗳To finish the session, our teachers checked our new talk boxes, giving the children another safe and private way to share their thoughts or worries if they need to

😊A lovely session filled with sharing, learning and reassurance 💛
