Children in P1 have been taking part in lots of activities to enhance their fine motor skills. These fine motor skills are essential for supporting their development in tasks such as writing, cutting and manipulating small objects. Activities that involve hand-eye coordination are particularly beneficial. Threading beads, playing with dough, drawing and colouring inside the lines are some ways to support this skill. Incorporating these skills into daily activities helps children build the strength and control needed for handwriting.
